- Login to Admin Console.
- From the Admin console dashboard, go to Users.
- Locate the user and click their name to open their account page.
- On the user's account page, click More and click Restore data.
- Select the date range for the data you want to restore, from within the last 25 days.
- Select the type of data you want to restore: Drive or Gmail.
If you leave the date range fields blank or don’t select a data type, an error message appears. - Click Restore Data.
Restore data for several users
- Login to Admin Console.
- From the Admin console dashboard, go to Users.
- Click the box to the left of each user whose data you want to restore.
You can select up to 10 users at a time. - On the toolbar, click More and click Restore data.
- Select the date range for the data you want to restore, from within the last 25 days.
- Select the type of data you want to restore: Drive or Gmail.
If you leave the date range fields blank or don’t select a data type, an error message appears. - Click Restore data.
Note: You have 25 days from when the data was permanently deleted to restore messages. After 25 days, the data is gone forever.
